We booked last minute, Debi with WC Lodging was very responsive and made sure we had everything we needed to access the property on time. The view and outdoor spaces are spectacular, pictures do not do it justice. Bed was very comfortable and kitchen well stocked. Two big bonuses for us were the electric car charger and the property is completely fenced so dogs are secure. Another benefit is very few chores to complete before leaving. Very clean and well run, highly recommend.

The property is situated up the hill from the river surrounded by redwoods. The indoor/outdoor space was ideal for families and dogs. The kitchen was well stocked and everything was clean and well maintained. It rained for most of our stay so we spent a lot of time in the main room with the fire going and enjoying the hot tub. Communication with the owners was seamless and timely and we are already planning a return to this property. In short, this rental checked all our boxes and we had an amazing visit!

Spent a few days at this “Forest Bungalow” with our daughter and granddog. Really enjoyed the closed in yard and driveway. Felt like we were in a secluded compound with wonderful views and lots of places to sit and enjoy nature.

We truly enjoyed our stay. This is a lovely and very comfortable property. We enjoyed the hot tub with the views of the forest and the stars at night. The kitchen is incredibly well stocked with every small appliance and specialty pan you would ever need. We really enjoyed cooking here. Hidden away up a steep hill, this place is surrounded by beautiful scenery and super quiet. There are many choices of lounging areas and a hot tub. Our dogs loved running around in the yard and we loved grilling/eating on the gorgeous deck. A perfect place for a getaway.

The property was clean, comfortable and nicely decorated. It sits on a hill with a patio, front door, living space and deck on the top level. Below that level is a hot tub and shaded lounge chairs. The lowest level has hammocks and more lounge chairs. We visited in July and the plums and berries were ripe. There was also a tomato and zucchini that were ripe. The beds were comfortable. There is a king size bed and a bathroom w/ a shower In one room and a queen size bed in the other room. The hallway bathroom has a roomy shower along with a washer & dryer. The property is fully fenced and our daughter’s pup enjoyed herself. The location is perfect. It’s only a 20 minute drive to spectacular beaches and downtown Guerneville a five minute drive if that. We stayed three nights but we could have stayed longer. Plan to spend at least one night eating at home grilling on the deck and soaking in the hot tub.

We stayed in this home for 7 days/nights to escape the summer heat of the Coachella Valley where we live. It was a perfect respite to relax, decompress and commune with nature. We spent a lot of time on the back deck; the furniture was very comfortable and the views of the ravine are awesome. There are four separate seating areas on the property - from the casual environment in the "bottom yard" to the high end sofa/chairs in the front yard area; and we enjoyed all four - depending on the time of day, whether you want to sit in the sun or shade, etc. The king bed in the master bedroom was very comfortable - and we loved sleeping with the window open, listening to nature. The kitchen and bathrooms are well-stocked and upgraded enough to enjoy a long stay. The walk to town was beautiful - through the redwoods and down the lanes - and although the hill to the house was a bit steep, we're both in our mid-50's and had no problem tackling the climb. Finally, the neighbors were very friendly and inviting (and quiet!). We walked our dog in the area at least twice daily and got to meet many fun and welcoming owners in this neighborhood. In sum, this is a great centrally located home if you want to explore the coast, wine country and the San Francisco/Bay area. We easily visited all of these areas and used this house as a "home base."

My husband, dog and I stayed at this house in late May 2021. We were nervous because this was our first vacation rental since the pandemic and we were concerned about cleanliness and privacy. The home and property/views were both a breath of fresh air and exceeded our expectations! It was well maintained, clean and fully stocked (towels, cleaning products, shampoo/conditioner, kitchen appliances, smart tv, hot tub, etc). The views from the deck and yard are of a vast, gorgeous forest and everything felt quite private and peaceful. The yard was enclosed and private so our dog could roam around and enjoy as much as we did. The location of the home is right near the Russian River, downtown, and pretty central to wine tasting and coastal destinations. Our stay was relaxing and absolutely wonderful. We will definitely be coming back to stay in the future. We loved it!

Our family (3 adults and a small dog) could not have been more pleased. Lots of inviting space to eat & relax, indoors or out. The kitchen was especially well equipped for cooking, and for mixing drinks. Living room was comfortable, with a gas fireplace. The Russian river area provided lots of lovely drives & walks, and there were good choices of restaurants for outdoor eating or take out.

This home was in a nice quiet neighborhood, beautifully landscaped, well equipped with everything you might need especially in the kitchen. It was nicely decorated and super comfortable. The only downside was that one of the bathroom sinks was so small that it was barely usable. I have never seen a sink that small!! The comforters could use a good cleaning also to freshen them up(they did not smell clean)! Other than those minor items, we really enjoyed our stay!

The intent of this trip was for wine tasting and I will say, in that regard, it is a bit of a winding road drive to the wineries. The house is older but very clean and updated (but still squeaky floors and door stops needed). The deck view is wonderful! Plenty of space, beautiful redwoods. The gate was a little challenging (it would use wheels on the bottom) but it did keep it secure and safe with pets. The road to the house is steep, so use a low gear. Overall, we had a fantastic experience and would stay there again.

We stayed here for our socially distanced honeymoon! Place was lovely, and even though you have neighbors, you can't see them when you're out on the back deck or enjoying the hot tub. Plenty of kitchenware if you're cooking, and everything was very clean. We arrived on Sunday and unfortunately the hot tub only gets cleaned on Tuesdays so we had to wait to use it, which was the only bummer. But guerneville is a 3 minute drive away, and endless wine tasting, plus the Russian River. Definitely would recommend!

This home was absolutely amazing to stay for 8 nights with my husband. We wanted to get out of the city and this home delivered the peace and comfort we were looking for.The kitchen was so well stocked with equipment, spices, containers, zip loc bags, etc that we didn't need to bring anything but the food. There was even coffee supplied! The entire home was very clean and the outdoor space was gorgeous with the tree tops & mist rolling through. Sitting around the gas fireplace drinking hot cocoa was fantastic. There were so many cozy blankets we could have made a fort. The chairs in the living room have been upgraded and my husband loved them. There was even laundry with soap so we were able to wash clothes during our stay.We slept in the main king bed which was very comfortable. The bath off the room was small but very functional. Both bathrooms were stocked with the most lovely bath products and loads of towels. The location in proximity to town, Armstrong redwoods, the ocean, etc was exceptional. We really enjoyed our galavants in the area and highly recommend boon restaurant. The only small suggestion would be to get furniture covers for the outdoor furniture as they seemed a bit worn from the weather. We couldn't sit out there much due to the moisture, but that's due to us coming in December. Wonderful hosts, easy to communicate with and we really, really enjoyed our stay. 100% would recommend this place and we will absolutely stay again!

Even though there are neighbors on either side, the homes are scattered and the landscape provides a privacy barrier. The views are nice and the property was laid out well. Hot tub was nice in the cold night. We brought our dogs and they loved running all around. The neighbors next door have dogs that bark and snarl like they want to find a way through the fence. It scared me at first but my dogs ignored them (just something to be aware of). The Redwoods are 3 hours away and the coast was just a short 30 minutes. We would definitely stay here again.

This was the perfect spot for a family get away. My wife and I had my parents and brother out for a visit in the bay area and wanted a getaway to unwind. We go to Guerneville often, but had never stayed in this exact area. We're glad we did. It's quiet and it gets more sun than many neighborhoods nearby, but you're still in the middle of the redwoods. You're also a pleasant 20-minute walk to town -- just remember it's a bit of a climb to get back! The property had plenty of outdoor space for relaxing, and the deck has a great view over Pocket Canyon. The inside is clean and well-maintained with comfortable furnishings and space to spread out. The master bathroom is a tad small, but you won't notice it after a day.

This is an awesome place in a great location. Its a bit smaller than what pictures show, but very comfortable. The backyard and hot tub were great. Kitchen has good pots and pans, and decent collection of herbs and spices. Overall a very good experience and we would love to come back.

We had a nice stay in Guerneville. The home was clean and well appointed. We did notice there appears to be an apartment underneath the home which we didn't see on the listing, but it was locked and no one was there. Also, the A/C works however by default it is set to turn itself off when you leave the home, so when we got back after a long day away the house was very hot and took most of the night to cool down. We were able to change the setting for the second day and everything was fine. Overall we were very pleased with our stay and would come back again. Thank you!

We found the property clean and comfortable. The A/C worked well to keep the temperature very consistent, and the backyard is huge and feels very private. While the property is very close to Guerneville downtown, it's a pretty steep hike for the last quarter mile. Note that the 220v car charging receptacle is NEMA 14-50. Many common 220v EV charging cables will be NEMA 14-30, and the plug will not fit. (the bottom prong will be straight for 14-50, and an L shape for 14-30--common for electric clothes dryers)

We have always loved Sonoma County but there is something extra special about west county. If you are looking for a tranquil wooded retreat with the convenience of being close to town you could not find a better place. The house itself is so clean and charming with its modern rustic feel. Everything feels like it is there on purpose. But the real gem of the property is the outdoor space. We spent most of our time on the deck surrounded by the trees with a view of a mountain. We enjoyed the foggy, misty mornings and starry nights outside. I wish I could stay a month! Guernville has always been a favorite of mine. Close to Santa Rosa and Sebastopol and there are so many nice roads to drive and small towns to stop in. You’re close to the coast and Armstrong redwoods. Everywhere you turn is beautiful! Absolutely loved this stay!

I got the impression from the pictures that the property was near the river. It was at the top of a hill, steep drive to the top, sheer drop-off in the forest behind the property. It was beautiful, literally living in a forest, but it was remote from the river and the ocean. We did love seeing the Armstrong Redwoods and they were just a few minutes from the property.
